BethAnn Condon
Beth, a resilient stroke survivor, is now giving back to Austin Speech Labs by leading our client support group, offering guidance and encouragement to others on their recovery journey.
Barclay Gatten
Barclay joined Austin Speech Labs in 2019 as a graduate student clinician from The University of Virginia. She quickly became a favorite among clients and staff, leading us to hire her for her Clinical Fellowship Year. Currently working with Rehab Without Walls, Barclay remains a valuable resource, known for her thoughtful, personalized approach to therapy and her warm, caring nature.

Valerie Perez-Poveda
Valerie volunteered as a graduate student at Austin Speech Labs in 2022, and she is now working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Sol Speech and Language Therapy Center.
Emily Straw
Emily completed her graduate externship at Austin Speech Labs in 2020. After graduating she started work in the public school district in Hays County. She is currently busy busy with her little one.
Sofia completed her graduate externship at Austin Speech Labs in 2024. After graduating she started working with kids at Sonrisas Therapies as a bilingual speech language pathologist.
Jillian Cleland
Jillian, who volunteered as a graduate student at Austin Speech Labs in 2021, is now contributing her skills at Kidz Therapeze, a pediatric outpatient clinic in Killeen, Texas.
Jessica Brock
Jessica completed her graduate externship at Austin Speech Labs in 2016. She wanted to become a Speech-Language Pathologist to work with children however, after the semester she had with us she discovered a passion and joy in working with the adult population. She now continues to work with that very same population in skilled nursing facilities!
Corina Theodosis CCC-SLP
Corina served many roles at Austin Speech Labs. She started as an undergraduate volunteer. She later returned to complete a graduate externship with us and she even returned later to help us as an employee.
Kristen completed her externship at Austin Speech Labs in 2023. She is currently completing her CFY at Therapy Connections in Austin. Texas.

My volunteer experience at Austin Speech Labs has been incredibly rewarding, and I am truly inspired by the progress these amazing stroke survivors make each week. It brings me great joy to contribute to their journey. Currently, I am excited to begin my master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology next spring!
Kathryn is an educator at St. Augustine University. During her down time she has also volunteered at Austin Speech Labs and facilitated discussion groups with her students and our clients.
Dr. Jussara Vitroino Woiler joined ASL in 2020 as a researcher. She is a trilingual speech language pathologist and audiologist. She holds her PhD from the University of Queensland.
